I began photographing my neighborhood without realizing I was creating an archive. Over nine years of collecting vignettes of everyday life, a project slowly emerged: looking at Irvington through the seasons—not only of the year, but of life itself.

Working primarily with analog photography, I have spent years paying attention to the place around me: its trees and streets, foggy mornings and snowstorms, the quiet months of the pandemic, collective protests, wildfire smoke, changing light, and the small details that make a place feel like home.
These photographs are not a comprehensive portrait of Irvington. They are fragments—moments gathered over time, a visual record of a place changing while I, too, was changing within it.

I chose to bring this work to TwentySix because the café is part of that record. It is a place where neighbors meet, conversations begin, languages are exchanged, and ordinary mornings become part of the life of a neighborhood.
This exhibition is an invitation to look closely at a familiar place—to notice what changes, what remains, and what we might otherwise pass without seeing.
