Ignition

2016 blooming season was starting with an alliance between a red-hot machine and a clumsy-gypsy dude: me & Agent Cooper, renamed Inspecteur Clouseau by Jeff*. Here has been started the path of emotion and curiosity, the pursuit of wind and fire, the quest of inspiring spirits, the teaching perseverance and goddam honesty.

Here continues my initiatory journey, WITHout a man, WITHout a home, WITHout a career. All these “withOUT” are substituted by a burning thirst of embracing life’s possibilities, while riding a wild R100 GS, a WITH, definitely IN _ a choice of freedom. This path is totally going “à rebours” from the society’s dream_ at the same time, it is the fruit of its loins.

_Dude, this is about time.

I have been looking for THE motorcycle for months, framing better my expectations, listening to advice and supportive thoughts from Hugh, family, friends, Borgotaro, enduring critics and discouragement from scared-narrow-minded people. Nevertheless I have always stayed true to my guts. I was closed to buy a gypsy-spirit R1190 GS but it would have been a resentment choice while I am driven by self-fearless decisions… And my happy grandfather, musician Patanok, regrettably passed away when I’ve met the motorcycle which’s caught me: putting fast some money out, listening to Fauré’s Requiem and Les Yeux Noirs (“oh Suzon…” would repeat Patanok to my grand’ma) from Django Reinhardt. I have also met quite a patient and dedicated collector-owner, Matias Corea who bequeathed one of his vintage European motorcycles. This beemer comes from a collection in Portland Oregon, and crossed the US with passionate people to Brooklyn. I felt lucky, proud and responsible of this tempestuous engine which was looking for a partner to hit the road. I had to tame its Fuego, to understand its gene and to get more muscles.

_ but F***, I was ready to experience, to be vulnerable and to share it.
* Jeff Truhn : he says it better that I would: Lifer, dissident, anti-hero, radical, situationist, visionary, underdog, destroyer of culture, artist, wingman, agent provocateur, statistic, …He fixed Agent Coop when I arrived broke in Pdx, OR last August 2017.

‘Where we going, man?’
‘I don’t know but we gotta go.”

  1. This bike has lived in the world for 24 years till if found you. I do believe in fate, and the universe.

I am very happy and at peace that it went to someone who appreciates it so much, that’s all I need to feel it has found it’s home, and a new partner. This bike is an adventurer and a free spirit, like you. It has taken me to beautiful places, never complained and has always been my safe space. It’ a fantastic motorcycle.

I hope you dive deeper into understanding it, it will take time and effort but it’s very rewarding. If you want to adventure the unknown with Fuego you might want to learn how to take good care of it.

    Goodspeed CJ.
